Aerial Photography
Aerial photography is taken with either a Wild/Leica RC-10 or Zeiss LMK camera, equipped with forward image compensation. Both cameras produce 9" x 9" negatives. We enjoy consulting with our clients to assure that the best combination of aerial cameras, films, altitudes, and weather conditions are planned to insure a successful flight mission. All flight plans are generated in digital form, based on latitude-longitude and elevation, and downloaded to the airborne computer. During the photo mission, the on-board GPS-controlled flight system guides us to the selected flight line, and automatically triggers the aerial camera's shutter when the geographic coordinates and altitude for the particular project is reached. The position of each photo center is then plotted on a quadrangle map, and digitally stored in the mission file. For many projects, the original film is converted into digital form, where it can be stored in a computer, and accessed and printed at will. From initial project planning to selection of the best camera/film combination and photo scale for your project, you'll find our professional and friendly staff ready to help! We're as near as your phone, and its toll free! Richard B. Davis Company 1-800-AIRMAPS e-mail us: info@airmaps.com |
